What You Will Do
- Manage assigned rebuild work orders from intake through completion
- Coordinate all aspects of rebuild jobs, including scheduling, parts ordering, and job progression
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, providing updates via phone and email throughout the rebuild process
- Review, track, and maintain accuracy of work orders, ensuring proper documentation and billing alignment
- Assign and coordinate work activities among technicians in collaboration with shop leadership
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment in accordance with company standards
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Monitor job progress, identify delays or issues, and proactively drive resolution
- Order and track parts based on approved quotes and job requirements
- Provide technical support and hands-on assistance to technicians during rebuilds when needed
- Collaborate with service, parts, and operations teams to ensure seamless execution of rebuild projects
What We Expect Of You
- Basic Qualifications – Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification in diesel, heavy equipment, or related field preferred; 3+ years of experience in heavy equipment service, rebuilds, or shop operations; prior experience in a lead, coordinator, or senior technician role strongly preferred; experience working with work orders, service systems, or maintenance tracking tools; strong working knowledge of heavy equipment systems and rebuild processes; proven ability to coordinate multiple projects and priorities simultaneously; strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with customers and internal teams; basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, service management systems, etc.); strong organizational and problem-solving skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail; leadership mindset with the ability to guide and support technicians without formal supervisory authority; commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and customer satisfaction
