Real Estate Services Agent 1
About the role
We'll count on you to:
- Provide pre-negotiation project, parcel and property owner due diligence and negotiate for acquisition of rights relative to public or private projects as assigned.
- Review appraisals and research comparable properties, prepare and/or provide QC review of Market Analysis and Waiver Valuations following the Federal and State guidelines as applicable.
- Verify ownership and the extent of interests, prepare offer packages and maintain complete and detailed records/files with owner contacts, agency representatives and project team.
- Prepare non-survey quality maps, drawings, exhibits to provide to Owners to aid in the Agent’s negotiations.
- Communicate effectively with internal staff and external clients.
- Demonstrate strong time management and organizational skills.
- Experience with federal, state, local agencies and private industry guidelines/regulations to educate landowners to effectively facilitate the acquisition/relocation process.
- Knowledgeable in title research and utility acquisition practices for obtaining permanent and temporary easements.
- Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Power BI).
- Experienced with relational databases such as but not limited to ArcGIS Online.
- Conduct research and navigate the Internet efficiently and effectively.
- Read, review and quality check engineering project plans and legal descriptions.
- Draft various types of real estate documents, such as but not limited to deeds, easements, leases, and purchase agreements.
- Available for travel (in state and out of state) as needed.

Requirements
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in real estate or 120 hours of documented real estate training.
- Ability to understand and work in compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations specific to the real estate and right-of-way industry, such as the Uniform Act, FERC and NEPA.
- Proficient with standard technology tools such as Microsoft Office and Project.
- Strong communication skills, basic understanding of negotiation and presentation skills, and ability to work flexible hours and effectively with people of all types.
- Ability to work confidently with clients, property owners and occupants.
- Effectively balance office and field work in a collaborative and deadline-sensitive manner.
