Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and revise real estate documents, including, but not limited to, purchase and sale agreements, leases, contracts, and easements.
- Prepare and manage closing documents for real estate transactions.
- Title and Survey Review: Conduct detailed reviews and analysis of title documents and surveys, identify potential issues, and prepare title objections and responses.
- Work closely with title companies, surveyors, and other related parties to resolve any discrepancies and ensure clear property titles.
- Transactional Support: Assist in all phases of commercial real estate transactions including due diligence, financing, and closing.
- Manage and coordinate organizational structuring and the preparation of related documents.
- Avoidance of Legal Issues: Assist in managing and resolving legal issues and disputes related to property development and management.
- Record Keeping: Oversee and manage proper record keeping both internally and with our vendors.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, Associate degree, or Paralegal Certification.
- At least five years of experience as a paralegal, specifically with a strong background in commercial real estate, focusing on title and survey matters.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office including, Word, Outlook and Excel.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Prioritize tasks, multi-task, meet tight deadlines, and proactively resolve issues.
- Self-starter with a strong sense of accountability and a commitment to delivering quality service.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment, contributing to a positive work culture and collaborating across departments.
- Ability to work onsite at Winter Park office location. This is an onsite position with the ability for a Hybrid once established.
