Paralegal

Overview

Paralegal Acting under the direction and guidance of the Paralegal Manager, primarily responsible for researching and assisting on various legal matters, preparing cases for court, representing the organization in court, and completing all post court work to include filing abstracts and any potential court remedies in a timely manner. Provide legal and administrative support to the attorneys and the department.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal and administrative support to attorneys and the department
• Understand and apply knowledge of legal collections process

Requirements

• Associate Level Degree or Paralegal Certification required
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology and billing strongly preferred
• Paralegal Certification required
• Notary Public required

Qualifications

• Three years work experience as a Paralegal or equivalent number of years experience performing functions in support of Paralegal activities in a law firm preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology and billing strongly preferred
