Responsibilities
- Building and maintaining strong working relationships with clients
- Maintaining an organized paper and digital case file
- Locating, collecting, and processing records from various entities, as well as indexing records
- Preparing and maintaining documents to track record collection attempts, deadlines, and other case-related tasks
- Aiding attorneys with finalizing and filing pleadings
- Performing factual research
- Participating in limited field investigation
- Handling administrative tasks related to working with experts
- Assisting with court hearings by preparing exhibits, assisting with subpoenaing witnesses, and helping manage witnesses in court
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in legal settings or related fields
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in law, criminal justice, or a related field
- Experience with legal research and document preparation
- Knowledge of Tennessee court procedures and rules of evidence
- Ability to travel as needed
