About the role

Our client, a national and highly-respected AmLaw200 law firm, is seeking to add an Associate to their Real Estate Finance group. This position offers the opportunity to work on a broad range of real estate finance matters, including the origination, structuring, and execution of a variety of real estate finance transactions.

Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in a variety of real estate finance transactions, including acquisition, development, construction, mezzanine, and permanent financing.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate various real estate finance documents such as loan agreements, promissory notes, mortgages, guarantees, and intercreditor agreements.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal due diligence.
  • Provide legal advice to clients on real estate finance matters, including loan structuring, loan enforcement, and workouts.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys in the firm to provide comprehensive legal services to clients.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of laws and regulations related to real estate finance, and advise clients accordingly.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and work diligently to meet their legal needs in a timely and efficient manner.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the state bar.
  • 2-5 years of experience in real estate finance, preferably in a law firm setting.
  • Extensive knowledge of real estate finance law and related matters.
  • Proven experience in drafting and negotiating real estate finance documents.

Pay

$200,000 - $300,000 per year
