Real Estate Finance Associate Attorney
About the role
A nationally recognized law firm is seeking a mid- to senior-level Real Estate Finance Associate to join its sophisticated Real Estate Capital Markets practice in Miami.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent lenders in the origination of commercial mortgage loans and other structured finance transactions.
- Advises clients on commercial real estate financing and investment matters.
- Handles workouts and restructurings of distressed commercial real estate loans.
- Affords assistance with the purchase and sale of commercial real estate assets.
- Drafts, reviews, and negotiates loan documents, transaction agreements, and other related legal documents.
- Provides strategic legal counsel throughout all phases of complex real estate transactions.
- Collaborates with clients, opposing counsel, and internal legal teams to efficiently manage transactions from inception through closing.
Qualifications
- 4–8 years of experience in commercial real estate finance.
- Experience representing lenders in commercial mortgage lending and structured finance transactions.
- Experience with loan workouts and distressed commercial real estate matters is strongly preferred.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Outstanding academic credentials.
- Active Florida Bar license or ability to become licensed in Florida prior to hire.
- Must reside in or relocate to the Miami, Florida area before the start date.
Work Environment
This is a hybrid position requiring attorneys to work in the office at least three days per week. The practice values collaboration and believes that in-person teamwork provides meaningful opportunities for mentoring, professional development, and client service.
Pay
Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience. 3rd Year Associate: $270,000
4th Year Associate: $320,000
5th Year Associate: $375,000
6th Year Associate: $400,000
7th Year Associate: $440,000
8th Year Associate: $455,000
