Real Estate Attorney – Transactions/Finance
About the role
The ideal candidate will have 4+ years’ experience representing public and private companies on sophisticated real estate transactions, including property acquisitions and dispositions, retail and industrial leasing, land use, zoning and real estate development matters. This position will require experience with property due diligence, title and survey review, working with title companies, and interpreting local codes and ordinances. A history of representing both borrowers and large financial institutions in complex real estate finance transactions, a plus.
Responsibilities
- Representing public and private companies on sophisticated real estate transactions
- Property acquisitions and dispositions, retail and industrial leasing, land use, zoning and real estate development matters
- Property due diligence, title and survey review, working with title companies
- Interpreting local codes and ordinances
- Representing both borrowers and large financial institutions in complex real estate finance transactions (a plus)
Requirements
- 4+ years’ experience representing public and private companies on sophisticated real estate transactions
- Excellent academic credentials
- High ethical standards
- Strong writing, analytical and communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to work with multiple attorneys on a variety of assignments
Qualifications
- Law degree from an accredited law school
- Admitted to practice law in at least one state
- Passionate about real estate law
