Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the drafting and negotiation of complex joint venture and operating agreements
  • Manage real estate transactions from inception through closing, including acquisitions, dispositions, development, and financing matters
  • Work directly with clients and counterparties on high-value, strategic deals
  • Provide practical, business-oriented legal advice to clients
  • Take ownership of transactions and manage multiple matters simultaneously
  • Collaborate with internal teams across related practice areas as needed

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials
  • Active membership in the California State Bar
  • 7-10+ years of experience in real estate transactions
  • Demonstrated experience handling joint ventures, acquisitions, and financing transactions
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills
  • Ability to independently manage and lead complex transactions
  • Sound business judgment and client-focused approach
  • Interest in long-term practice development and growth

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary range: $275,000 - $350,000, depending on experience and qualifications
  • Bonus eligibility based on performance
  • Annual billable hour target of approximately 1,600 hours
