(Juris Doctorate) degree required from an accredited law school is required3 years of experience as a residential or commercial real estate attorney, as a transactional attorney, or as corporate counsel for a real estate development firmSuperb negotiation, networking, research, and communication skills are needed Responsibilities Complete thorough due diligence and inspect legal documents, title examination, and closing binder for legal risk, completion, and accuracyAppear on behalf of your clients at real estate closings, in real estate disputes, and real estate litigationConsider all legal aspects of clients’ circumstances and desired outcome to provide sound legal advice to themDraft and review contracts, probate and trust documents, leases, financing statements, purchase and property management agreements, as well as title abstracts, summaries, and commitments, as requiredInterface with city boards and agencies to avoid zoning legal issues and obtain permits
