Reading Interventionist

About the Role

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Sanford, MI, focused on supporting students who are struggling with literacy by providing targeted, small-group reading interventions aligned with district curriculum and assessment data.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular progress monitoring for students receiving reading interventions.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to adjust instructional strategies based on data.
• Contribute to individualized intervention plans for students.
• Implement Phonics First (Orton-Gillingham) instructional materials.
• Maintain clear documentation of student growth and progress.
• Communicate with families and support staff to ensure coordinated support for student reading development.
