Reading Interventionist

About the role

This position requires a Florida Reading Endorsement on your State Certificate. It involves working with students to improve their reading skills through programs like Reading Plus and IXL, monitoring their progress, and communicating with parents and staff. Additionally, it includes supporting English Language Learners (ELLs) by ensuring compliance with district standards, conducting parent meetings, updating files, and assisting with language acquisition.

Responsibilities

• Using Reading Plus and IXL to enhance student performance on state assessments.
• Maintaining progress records and communicating with parents and staff about student achievements and test scores.
• Collaborating with the Osceola County School District to ensure compliance with state regulations.
• Assisting ELLs with language acquisition and managing an Instructional Assistant.
• Planning and organizing parent events.

Requirements

• A teaching certification in higher education with at least 2 years of experience.
• A Florida Reading Endorsement on your State Certificate.
