About the role
Spectrum is a college prep public school of approximately 1,000 students, located in Elk River, MN, serving grades 5-12 since 2006. Spectrum is seeking a dedicated and student-focused Reading Interventionist to join our academic support team.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate assessment and deliver small-group and one-on-one instruction in reading following established intervention plans
- Implement evidence-based intervention programs with fidelity
- Collect and record progress monitoring data and assist in evaluating student growth
- Collaborate with the Instructional Program Manager and classroom teachers to support student learning
- Prepare materials and resources needed for intervention sessions
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance
- Participate in training related to intervention strategies and progress monitoring tools
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
Qualifications
- Associate's Degree (AA) required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Experience working with children or adolescents in an educational setting preferred
- Knowledge of basic reading and math instructional strategies
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
