Primary Responsibilities
- Provide evidence-based reading interventions for students identified through MTSS, benchmark assessments, and classroom performance data.
- Deliver Tier II and Tier III interventions in small-group and individual settings.
- Develop and implement intervention plans tailored to student needs.
- Support struggling readers in foundational literacy skills, fluency, vocabulary, comprehension, and writing.
- Monitor intervention effectiveness and adjust instruction based on student progress.
MTSS Implementation
- Serve as a key member of the campus MTSS team.
- Affiliate with identifying students requiring academic interventions through data analysis and teacher referrals.
- Participate in MTSS meetings and contribute to intervention planning and problem-solving discussions.
- Maintain accurate documentation of interventions, progress-monitoring data, and student outcomes.
- Ensure intervention services are implemented with fidelity.
Data Analysis and Progress Monitoring
- Analyze assessment data, including universal screeners, classroom assessments, and state assessment results.
- Conduct regular progress monitoring and communicate results to teachers, parents, and administrators.
- Utilize data to identify trends, monitor student growth, and make instructional decisions.
- Support campus goals related to reading achievement and student growth.
Teacher Support and Collaboration
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to align interventions with grade-level instruction and TEKS.
- Provide instructional strategies and resources to support literacy development in the classroom.
- Affiliate with interpreting student data and identifying appropriate interventions.
- Model effective reading instructional practices and intervention strategies.
Campus Leadership Support
- Support campus literacy initiatives and school improvement goals.
- Participate in professional learning communities, data meetings, and professional development opportunities.
- Affiliate with campus-wide reading programs, assessments, and intervention scheduling.
- Foster a culture of high expectations and academic excellence.
