Rate Supervisor

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking a Rate Supervisor for their Wilmington, OH Service Center. The position reports to the Rate Manager and oversees and enhances daily productivity within the overcharge claims and Short Pays department.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, identify, and foster the performance of employees and teams.
• Set and achieve objectives for both the organization and individual team members.
• Develop schedules that optimize employee engagement and ensure deadlines are met.
• Communicate organizational requirements to employees and identify areas for development.
• Innovate and evaluate new processes.
• Provide regular, constructive feedback to team members regarding their performance.
• Ensure adherence to safe work practices and procedures.

Requirements

• Average of 2 years of experience in a supervisory role.
• Average of 2 years of experience in the transportation, logistics, or related field.
• Average of 2 years of experience in Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel and Word.
• Strong communication and written skills.
• Good math skills.
• Organization and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of critical thinking, decision-making, creativity, and information processing.
• Ability to multitask.
• Dependability and timeliness.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in transportation, business, logistics, or a related field preferred.

Skills

• Microsoft Office proficiency, especially Excel and Word.
• Strong communication and written skills.

Pay

Compensation is commensurate with experience.

Schedule

The position is full-time, Monday – Friday, 8:00am- 5:30pm.
