Raque Operator

About the role

Nestlé USA is seeking machine operators, specifically the raque or mondini (cheese/topping dispensers), to join our team. Shifts are 10-hour rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Ensures the conveyor and Raque or mondini are lined up correctly to avoid waste.
• Maintains catch pans and empties them when necessary.
• Prevents ingredients from becoming packed in the machine to avoid downtime.
• Clears any jams that occur during operation.
• Loads the raque or mondini with cheese or topping throughout the shift.
• Calculates product yield every hour.
• Communicates effectively with all team members and departments (other operators, supervisors, maintenance, QA, etc.).
• Fulfills all safety procedures and wears proper protective equipment.

Requirements

• Basic proficiency of English language to comply with verbal and written directions, signs, policies and procedures.
• Ability to read and understand basic/standard English words and sentences to comprehend signs, policies, procedures, safety rules.
• Ability to speak and understand basic/standard words and sentences in English to obtain and relay information on policies and procedures.
• Ability to speak and understand basic/standard words and sentences to establish and maintain a cooperative working relationship with others.
• 90 days of food manufacturing experience working in a Nestle factory preferred.
• Heavy lifting ability.
• Basic computer data entry required.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Skills

• Strong attention to detail.
• Good hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.

Pay

$23.90 per hour. Bonus eligibility applies.
