Gradall Operator

Responsibilities

• Maintain speed and direction of assigned equipment using hand and/or foot controls
• Operate equipment safely in congested areas with various traffic and obstacles
• Move and grade aggregate material on various terrains
• Maintain equipment according to company and manufacturer's guidelines
• Clean and inspect equipment regularly to ensure optimal performance
• Follow all equipment monitoring and maintenance requirements
• Perform other duties as assigned

Essential Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience operating Gradall in road construction
• Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
• Good driving record
• Passable DOT physical
• Working knowledge of excavation, grading, and granular materials
• Ability to comprehend verbal and written instructions
• Understanding of blueprints and fine grading techniques
• Experience with fine grading preferred
• Knowledge of heavy equipment operation and safety standards
• Compliance with municipal requirements, specifications, safety standards, and company policies
• Attention to detail and awareness of safety in the workplace
• Ability to work collaboratively with others
• Reliable transportation
• Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check

Salary/Hourly Exemption

Full-time, non-exempt position with salary based on experience.

Working Conditions

• Exposure to extreme weather conditions, including cold, heat, and muddy environments
• High levels of noise, grease, and dust typical of construction projects
• Use of personal protective equipment required

Working Hours/Expectations

Ability to work more than 40 hours per week, including weekends as needed.

Physical and Mental Demands

• Regularly stand, walk, reach, stoop, bend, kneel, or crouch
• Frequent bending, twisting, and standing
• Regular talking, hearing, smelling, and using hands to finger, handle, or feel
• Lift and move up to 50 pounds frequently, up to 75 pounds occasionally
• Sit for prolonged periods

Education

A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Licenses, Certifications

• Valid Driver’s License preferred

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years operating construction equipment experience
