Gradall Operator

About the role

We are seeking a Gradall Operator to join our team at Zenith Tech Inc., part of the Walbec Group. Located in Waukesha, WI, this position offers an opportunity to work in road, highway, and bridge construction with a family-focused, progressive culture.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Gradall Excavator and other construction equipment such as skid steers, backhoes, front-end loaders, dozers, graders, compactors, and more.
• Ensure safe and efficient operation of equipment in various construction tasks.
• Read and understand grade stakes, machine control displays, and other necessary equipment controls.
• Maintain and secure all equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and incident reporting procedures.
• Assist with repairs as needed and assist with other maintenance tasks.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
• Class A CDL strongly desired.
• Experience operating construction equipment, particularly a Gradall.
• Able to read and understand grade stakes, machine control displays, and other necessary equipment controls.
• Ability to safely maneuver machinery in tight quarters, around people, traffic, and utilities.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• Punctual and dependable.

Qualifications

• Willingness to travel to various job sites throughout Southeast WI and west to Madison, WI.

Skills

• Proficiency in operating construction equipment, especially a Gradall.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
