Rapid Response/Code Team Nurse

About the Role

The Clinical Nurse on the Rapid Response/Code Team serves as a hospital-wide resource, responding to emergency situations such as Code Blue and traumas, while providing guidance and education to staff on less familiar procedures.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, ensuring patient and family-centered care.
• Educate patients and families on managing illnesses and promote safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Develop personalized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Use critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences and barriers.

Qualifications

• Must hold an RN license with a nursing diploma or associate's degree.
• A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred.
• Less than 2 years of experience is preferred.
• ACLS certification is highly preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years of critical care or Emergency Department (ED) experience is highly preferred.
