Qualifications

• ASN or Nursing Diploma
• Minimum 2 years experience in Critical Care Nursing ICU or ED
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Proficient computer skills

Certifications and Licenses Required

• BLS and ACLS certification
• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License

Preferred

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support PALS
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and Critical Care Nurse Certification

Schedule

Night shift, 36 hours per week

Essential Functions

• As a member of the Rapid Response Team RRT the RRT Nurse will focus on specific situations in non-critical care areas. These situations will have complex clinical issues and require immediate attention and clinical expertise. The RRT nurse will assist the staff member in assessing and stabilizing the patient’s condition, as well as organizing information to be communicated to the patients physician.
• The RRT nurse will be responsible for data and reports.
• The RRT nurses collectively will serve as educators over the medical surgical units as determined by director.
• Other responsibilities of the RRT nurse are to serve as a resource to staff, coordinate annual and ongoing competencies, assist with code SMARTs code Strokes, and code Blues when available.
• The RRT nurses is responsible for reporting identified safety issues such as hazardous environments damaged floors walls ceiling tiles unsecured areas and medical errors etc.
