Railcar Repair Technician

About the role

The Railcar Repair Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing railcars to ensure safe and efficient operation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain railcars according to manufacturer specifications and company standards
• Perform routine maintenance checks and repairs
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
• Follow safety protocols and procedures
• Work independently and as part of a team

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
• At least 2 years of related experience in railcar maintenance
• Knowledge of railcar systems and operations
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed

Qualifications

• Proficient in using hand tools and power tools
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Skills

• Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD)
• Experience with railcar inspection software
• Good communication and interpersonal skills

Pay

$18.00 - $22.00 per hour based on experience

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
