Rail Logistics And Purchasing Assistant

Key Responsibilities

• Provide support for rail logistics operations and administrative tasks
• Track and manage rail car shipments, reporting, and documentation
• Monitor inventory movement and assist with rail logistics reporting
• Create and manage purchase orders
• Enter and reconcile rail freight and ingredient invoices
• Maintain accurate pricing, cost data, and monthly price updates
• Communicate with internal teams, suppliers, and rail transportation partners

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience in business or related field
• 1+ year of administrative, purchasing, or logistics experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Effective communication and teamwork skills

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• This is an on-site office role with frequent interaction across departments
• The position involves prolonged sitting, computer use, and occasional lifting up to 25 pounds
