Radiology - Women's Imager Physician Job with UPMC in Altoona, PA

About the role

The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) Clinical Radiology Division is seeking a Breast Radiologist to join their team in Altoona. Candidates can specialize in both breast imaging and general radiology or focus solely on breast imaging. This is a full-time position requiring an MD or equivalent with BC/BE in Radiology and the ability to obtain an unrestricted PA license. The candidate must also be MQSA certified.

Responsibilities

• M-F daylight schedule
• Some weekend call responsibility (negotiable)
• 9 weeks of paid time off (PTO)
• Join a large employed practice of 90+ subspecialty-trained Radiologists covering the majority of UPMC's Western Pennsylvania footprint
• Provides clinical-affiliated appointments with the University of Pittsburgh Department of Radiology, offering opportunities for teaching and/or research
• Visa sponsorship

Requirements

• MD or equivalent degree
• BC/BE in Radiology
• Ability to obtain an unrestricted PA license
• MQSA certification

Qualifications

• Experience in breast imaging preferred but not required for general radiologists
• Strong interest in or experience with breast imaging
• Knowledgeable about UPMC's clinical and research offerings

Skills

• Excellent communication skills
• Proficiency in interpreting medical images
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
