Role Overview
This position involves performing a variety of imaging procedures, including CT and X-Rays, with minimal supervision. The role provides technical assistance and supportive patient care to meet individual needs within a small-format hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment such as X-Ray, CT, CR reader, and PACS.
- Perform imaging exams according to established policies, notifying physicians of results.
- Assist in clinical procedures under the guidance of physicians and nurses.
- Maintain accurate documentation, logs, and records in both paper and electronic formats.
- Collect laboratory samples, perform tests following protocols and regulations like COLA and CLIA.
- Ensure availability of reagents and consumables for quality testing.
- Conduct routine maintenance, quality control, proficiency testing, and record-keeping activities.
- Perform duties as needed in emergency settings and across multiple facility locations.
- Attend meetings and perform additional assigned duties.
Qualifications & Skills
- High School diploma or GED, plus graduation from an AMA-approved Radiology Technology program.
- State certification as a radiologic technologist and ARRT registration in radiography; CT certification preferred and required within 12 months.
- Current BLS certification.
- 2+ years radiologic/imaging experience; CT and ER experience preferred.
- Proficiency with imaging equipment, hardware/software, and PACS.
- Fluency in English, with strong communication skills.
