About the Role

Under the broad direction of the Radiologist, the Supervisor of Nuclear Medicine/PET, and the Diagnostic Imaging Center Manager, the Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs both diagnostic and therapeutic Nuclear Medicine procedures on selective portions of the anatomy as requested by the clinician. The role involves working with patients across the following age groups: adolescence (12-18 years), young adults (19-30 years), mature adults (30-45 years), older adults (46-65 years), and aging adults (66 and older). The Technologist is responsible for the receipt, preparation, utilization, and administration of radioactive materials in compliance with state and federal laws and department guidelines. Must be available to work scheduled and "ON CALL" hours, as well as across multiple sites/locations, including MCC, MMH, MKC, and MIP.

Responsibilities

• Performs both diagnostic and therapeutic Nuclear Medicine procedures.
• Responsible for the receipt, preparation, utilization, and administration of radioactive materials.
• Reviews and verifies that the QA performed in unit doses received from outside vendors and equipment meets department and state guidelines.
• Performs procedures on selected anatomy as requested by the clinician for patients in the following age groups: adolescence (12-19 years), adults (20-65 years), and geriatric adults (65 and older).
• Applies the proper scan protocols needed to visualize the anatomy in question across a variety of procedures.
• Contributes to overall department productivity and operation.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• Florida state license required: Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) ARRT(N) OR CNMT through NMTCB certification or equivalent.
• Current BLS certification.
• One (1) year of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience (preferred).
• Associate degree (preferred).

Pay

Salary Range: $40.87 - $62.30 per hour. Salary ranges represent the expected base pay for the role. Actual compensation may vary based on location, experience, skills, education, and internal equity among team members in similar positions.
