About the Role

Up to $25,000 sign-on bonus based on experience! Under the supervision of the Radiologist and Department Management Team, the Radiology Technologist – Advanced ("Tech") shall provide radiographic imaging services to patients by performing general diagnostic radiological procedures and general fluoroscopic procedures. Additionally, the Tech will perform DEXA scans based on department needs. The Tech shall operate imaging equipment and image processing equipment, prepare radiographic exam rooms, and maintain department equipment and supplies.

The Tech will provide medical imaging services utilizing various modalities including Radiology, Computer Tomography (CT), and/or Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), while maintaining competencies in these assigned areas. The Tech will provide care appropriate to the condition and age of the patient, serving inpatients, outpatients, hospital operating suites, the emergency department (ED), and the continuing care center (CCC).

Maintains quality assurance and performance improvement activities within the department as directed. Complies with all Joint Commission, federal, state, and local regulatory laws, standards, and protocols. Requires excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform general diagnostic radiological procedures and general fluoroscopic procedures.
• Perform DEXA scans based on department needs.
• Operate imaging equipment and image processing equipment.
• Prepare radiographic exam rooms and maintain department equipment and supplies.
• Provide medical imaging services utilizing Radiology, CT, and/or MRI modalities.
• Maintain competencies in assigned imaging modalities.
• Provide care appropriate to the condition and age of the patient.
• Serve patients in various settings: inpatients, outpatients, hospital operating suites, ED, and CCC.
• Maintain quality assurance and performance improvement activities within the department.
• Comply with all Joint Commission, federal, state, and local regulatory laws, standards, and protocols.

Requirements

• Graduate from an approved school of Radiologic Technology, either college affiliated or hospital trained.
• Current CA – CRT certification; Certified by the State of California.
• Current CA – Fluoroscopy license; Certified by the State of California, or obtain one within 120 days of employment.
• Certified by the ARRT and must have a current ARRT R.T. (R) certification.
• Experience performing CT and/or MRI exams.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Minimum of three (3) continuous years experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
• Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Basic computer knowledge.

Preferred Qualifications

• Competent skills to perform DEXA scans.
• Three or more years of continuous CT and/or MRI experience.
• ARRT certification in CT and/or MRI.

Pay

$35.75 - $54.00 hourly. Individual wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience.

Full Time, Nights. Hours: 07:30 PM - 08:00 AM.
