Responsibilities

  • Performs radiologic procedures using appropriate technical and safety methods as requested by a licensed physician.
  • Selects and computes settings for each patient’s procedure.
  • Develops an appropriate procedure/treatment plan.
  • Implements the procedure/treatment plan using established hospital protocols/guidelines.
  • Completes documentation as required to comply with hospital policies and procedures.
  • Maintains equipment, procedure/treatment rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
  • Participates in hospital and departmental performance improvement activities to ensure patient care consistency with established standards.
  • Collects quality data for monitoring performance improvement.
  • Completes assigned goals.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Specifications

  • Experience: Minimum Required - Completion of a Radiology Technology Program.
  • Education: Minimum Required - Completion of a formal education program in radiography accredited by a mechanism acceptable to ARRT. Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists with current Registry in Radiography ARRT(R) or new graduate who is waiting to take the registry.
  • Licensure: Minimum Required - ARRT(R); BLS Certification within 14 days of hire. New graduate who will obtain required registry within 120 days of hire. State license as required.
