Radiology Technician II

Role Summary

Provides quality diagnostic radiographs, including OR, Fluoro, Dexa, or EOS procedures, under supervision to ensure accurate diagnosis and patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce high-quality images using appropriate techniques and proper marker placement.
  • Document patient history and verify physician orders prior to exams.
  • Assist in OR/surgical cases with C-arms and portable equipment.
  • Supervise and mentor radiology students, providing constructive feedback.
  • Maintain safety, infection control standards, and a clean work environment.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, in-services, and continuing education to stay current.
  • Adhere to hospital policies, including patient identification, confidentiality, and safety protocols.
  • Ensure timely documentation in hospital systems and proper patient age-specific care.
  • Support service excellence by demonstrating respect, teamwork, and effective communication.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Graduate of a Radiology Technology program, registry eligible, with BLS and ARRT-R certification.
  • Preferred two years of experience.
  • Must adhere to safety procedures, demonstrate physical stamina, and possess strong communication skills.

Physical & Work Environment

  • Ability to stand, lift over 100 pounds, and perform strenuous activities.
  • Exposure to biological hazards and blood-borne pathogens, requiring protective measures.
