Radiology Technician II

This PRN (as-needed) position produces high-quality diagnostic radiographs in modalities that may include OR, Fluoroscopy, Dexa, or EOS under the supervision of the Radiology Director and Manager.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate proficiency in all imaging techniques, including proper positioning, exposure factors, and radiation safety.
• Document patient history and clinical indications for the exam.
• Adhere to all safety and infection control standards, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Ensure proper patient identification and verify the accuracy of orders.
• Attend departmental training and in-service programs as required.
• Participate in departmental quality improvement and performance improvement activities.
• Provide age-appropriate patient care and communication.
• Perform equipment safety checks and report any malfunctions.
• Maintain continuing education requirements for certification and licensure.
• Comply with all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
• Demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, and excellent patient service.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited Radiology Technology program.
• ARRT-R certification (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists – Radiography).
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• Two years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist preferred.

Physical Demands

• Ability to lift, move, or assist patients weighing over 100 pounds with assistance.
• Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
• Frequent bending, stooping, and reaching.
