About the role
Radiology Technologist responsible for producing high-quality x-ray images, positioning patients, and performing procedures as directed by physicians or radiologists.
Responsibilities
- Capture clear and accurate x-ray images, ensuring proper patient positioning and instruction.
- Operate portable and stationary imaging equipment, including emergency and nursing settings.
- Process and prepare films for radiologist interpretation following established protocols.
- Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment, coordinating with service providers for major malfunctions.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, healthcare team members, and physicians both in person and via phone.
- Collaborate effectively within departments to support team goals and patient care objectives.
Requirements
- Completion of an approved radiological training program.
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association.
- Physical ability to see, read, communicate, manipulate equipment, and assist with patient transfers, including lifting and mobility tasks.
- Manual dexterity for precise equipment handling and documentation tasks.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and navigate busy environments, often for extended periods.
