New Grad Radiology Tech

About the Role

Perform diagnostic imaging exams using specialized equipment to support patient diagnosis and care. Collaborate with radiologists and care teams to deliver high-quality images and ensure patient comfort. This PRN role is suitable for new graduates eager to gain clinical experience in a dynamic, patient-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain ARRT or modality-specific competencies.
• Verify patient identity, review orders, and prepare patients for exams.
• Perform imaging procedures adhering to protocols; review image quality.
• Follow radiation safety standards and infection control procedures.
• Assist and instruct students and colleagues in exam techniques and equipment use.
• Provide patient education and address concerns.
• Operate imaging equipment and document procedures accurately.
• Ensure compliance with protocols related to medical necessity, coding, and quality control.

Requirements

• ARRT certification and current state license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Knowledge of anatomy, imaging quality assurance, and equipment operation.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and independent work skills.
• Proficiency with electronic imaging systems and task prioritization.

Physical & Other Requirements

• Ability to read, communicate effectively, and operate complex equipment.
• Manual dexterity for handling delicate devices.
• Physical ability to lift, transfer, and assist patients.
• Stand for extended periods and navigate busy environments.
