Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- Knowledge of nuclear medicine, ultrasonography, radiologic technology, or MRI technology
- Skills in patient care coordination, budget management, personnel supervision, and regulatory compliance
- Ability to act as a liaison between departments and referring physicians' offices
- Experience working with adult and geriatric patients in Cardiology Services, specifically in nuclear medicine
- Knowledge of and ability to perform American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS)
License Or Certification Required
- Graduate of an accredited nuclear medicine technology program, accredited ultrasonography program, accredited radiologic technology program, or accredited MRI technology program
- Certified by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board
- Registered as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist by the American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT)
- Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
- Registered as a MRI Technologist by ARRT or AMRIT
- Registered as a CT Technologist by ARRT
Experience
- Three (3) or more years of clinical experience in nuclear medicine, ultrasonography, radiologic technology, or MRI technology
