About the Role
As a Patient Scheduling Coordinator for the Radiology Department at Oneida Health Hospital, you will play a vital role in coordinating and scheduling Radiology and Cardiology procedures. You will work closely with ordering offices, coordinate surgeries and diagnostic exams, respond to urgent situations, maintain effective relationships with staff and physicians, and ensure efficient communication via telephone and email. The ideal candidate will possess a pleasant disposition, excellent multitasking abilities, and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule Radiology and Cardiology procedures as designated by physicians, utilizing computerized scheduling systems.
- Work collaboratively as part of the team within the Radiology Department to ensure smooth operations and patient flow.
- Recognize and respond appropriately to urgent situations per protocol to ensure patient safety and satisfaction.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, physicians, and management across various medical departments.
- Document work processes as required to maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with departmental protocols.
- Ensure efficient telephone and email communication to facilitate scheduling and address inquiries from patients and other stakeholders.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (Required).
- Experience in medical terminology (Preferred).
- Clerical experience: 1 year (Preferred).
Skills

Physical Requirements
