Radiology - MRI Patient Coordinator Part-Time Weekends

About the role

The MR Patient Coordinator at Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital, an affiliate of Mass General Brigham, supports the radiology department by assisting with MR workflow, scheduling, and patient preparation.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with outside providers by answering and transferring phone calls
• Screen and schedule MR exams and procedures
• Use EPIC to assist with patient scanning under the technologist’s guidance
• Ambulate, wheel, and stretch patient transport as needed
• Review MR exam orders for completeness and confirm required documentation
• Ensure all necessary authorizations and tests are in place before scanning
• Communicate with managed care staff and physicians’ offices to secure authorizations
• Perform other duties as assigned to maintain efficient operations and provide quality patient care

Qualifications

• High school diploma required
• Associates degree preferred
• BCLS certification preferred
• Adheres to I.C.A.R.E. Standards
• Must be able to multi-task and think proactively
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a noisy environment with temperature/humidity variations
• Continuous sitting and standing required
• Able to lift up to 25 lbs
