MRI Tech Part Time Weekends

Job Description Summary

Prepares patients for examination, executes specialty radiologic examinations, reviews patient medical records, cross-trains in other specialties, inspects films, assists in training new technologists, operates equipment safely, reports malfunctions, maintains supplies, completes exam data entry, and attends staff meetings.

Responsibilities

• Positions and executes specialty radiologic examinations
• Verifies physician's order on patient medical records before examination
• Cross-trains in other specialty areas/departments/facilities
• Monitors films for quality and ensures correct patient information
• Aids in training new technologists and technical assistants
• Operates specialized equipment safely and demonstrates competency
• Maintains and stocks room with necessary supplies
• Completes exam data entry and paperwork
• Attends monthly department staff meetings

Qualifications

• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (MR)
• Holds a current Florida General Radiographer license from the Florida Department of Health, Division of Medical Quality Assurance (if performing Radiographic procedures)
• BLS/CPR certification required
• Graduate of an AMA Accredited Educational Radiologic Technology Program for Radiologic Technology or equivalent
• One year of clinical experience
