Schedule

Monday–Friday, 7:30 am–4:00 pm with some evenings and weekends required.

Responsibilities

• Instruction and Assessment of Student Learning:
  • Facilitate student learning in face-to-face, online, and/or hybrid environments; deliver effective, career-relevant instruction; provide a conducive learning environment; evaluate student learning; respond to inquiries; and grade assignments in a timely manner
  • Engage students using collaborative, experiential, and/or problem-based learning techniques
  • Deliver course curriculum via the University’s learning management system
  • Participate in course and program-level learning assessments (define outcomes, administer measures, evaluate performance, suggest improvements, update master courses)
  • Assist in developing and revising course maps and materials
  • Schedule, supervise, debrief, and evaluate students in clinical, externship, observation, field experience, and similar settings
  • Support student retention by addressing excessive absences and connecting students with University services
  • Communicate availability (office hours) to all students via email, phone, or personal contact
  • Teach radiography and limited medical radiography courses
  • Assist with laboratory procedures and clinical assignments
• Scholarship and Professional Development:
  • Participate in the annual faculty performance review process
  • Engage in the University’s Professional Development Program
  • Maintain current knowledge in academic discipline, including attending conferences and fulfilling licensure or certification requirements
  • Receive training on technological and pedagogical advances
  • Report all professional development activities
• Professionalism:
  • Adhere to all University policies as specified in the Faculty/Staff Manual
  • Accurately record and report student attendance
  • Submit grade books in the correct format and by required deadlines
  • Complete all mandated compliance training
  • Submit an updated curriculum vitae/resume annually
  • Participate in graduation ceremonies (full-time faculty required; adjunct encouraged)
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• Current ARRT in Radiologic Technology and KY Radiologic Operator’s license
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Radiologic Technologist
• Equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered
• Two years of experience working with students preferred
• Excellent writing and oral communication skills
• Knowledgeable and comfortable with active teaching methods and use of teaching technologies, including AI
• Strong leadership, customer service, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to coordinate multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Ability to function efficiently in a stressful work environment
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and travel to multiple locations as needed
• Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods and move about campus
• Ability to communicate effectively via telephone, email, recordings, virtual meetings, and in person
