Radiology and Imaging Manager

About the role

The Radiology and Imaging Manager oversees a multidisciplinary department with over 35 staff, including modalities such as CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Mammography, and X-ray. This role is responsible for all department operations, including budget management, staff performance, equipment maintenance, workflow improvements, and resolving member concerns.

The manager will oversee 60-75% of department employees, conduct performance reviews, and develop staff. They will also address equipment issues, monitor exam volumes, and draft business and capital proposals.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of a multidisciplinary radiology department.
• Oversee budget management and financial performance.
• Conduct performance reviews and develop staff.

• Resolve member concerns and ensure compliance with hospital regulations.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a radiologic technologist.
• Minimum of 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Relevant certifications and education in radiologic technology or a related field.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership, communication, and change management skills.
• Experience with hospital regulations and healthcare systems.
• Financial acumen for budget management and proposal development.

Preferred Qualifications

• Availability for on-call duties.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Advanced degrees or extensive related experience in radiology or healthcare management.
