Radiology and Imaging Manager

About the role

The Radiology and Imaging Manager oversees a large multidisciplinary department, including CT, MRI, Ultrasound, X-ray, Mammography, and other modalities, with responsibility for all operations and managing 35+ staff members.

Responsibilities

• Managing department operations, budgets, supply orders, patient studies, and resolving workflow issues.
• Leading employee performance, development, and conducting performance reviews for 60–75% of staff.
• Overseeing equipment maintenance, documenting failures, and communicating issues.
• Monitoring exam volumes, access reports, and submitting business and capital proposals.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of radiologic technologist experience and three years of supervisory experience.
• Graduate of an accredited imaging program or equivalent work experience.
• Relevant certifications such as Sonographer, Radiologic Technologist, or Nuclear Medicine.

Skills & Requirements

• Knowledge of healthcare regulations, accreditation, and managed care.
• Staff recruitment, mentorship, performance management, and accountability.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and communicate effectively.
• Financial management and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Preferred qualifications include experience with 24/7 operations, on-call rotations, and advanced degrees or additional experience in related fields.
