About the role
The Radiology and Imaging Manager oversees a large multidisciplinary department, including CT, MRI, Ultrasound, X-ray, Mammography, and other modalities, with responsibility for all operations and managing 35+ staff members.
Responsibilities
- Managing department operations, budgets, supply orders, patient studies, and resolving workflow issues.
- Leading employee performance, development, and conducting performance reviews for 60–75% of staff.
- Overseeing equipment maintenance, documenting failures, and communicating issues.
- Monitoring exam volumes, access reports, and submitting business and capital proposals.
Qualifications
- Minimum five years of radiologic technologist experience and three years of supervisory experience.
- Graduate of an accredited imaging program or equivalent work experience.
- Relevant certifications such as Sonographer, Radiologic Technologist, or Nuclear Medicine.
Skills & Requirements
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations, accreditation, and managed care.
- Staff recruitment, mentorship, performance management, and accountability.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and communicate effectively.
- Financial management and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Preferred qualifications include experience with 24/7 operations, on-call rotations, and advanced degrees or additional experience in related fields.
