Radiologist - Nuclear Medicine
About the role
The Department of Radiology at the Penn State University College of Medicine is seeking a full-time Faculty Physician for the Division of Nuclear Medicine. The successful candidate will be subspecialty trained and have or be eligible for either a CAQ in nuclear medicine from the ABR or ABNM certification. The position's responsibilities will include the interpretation of diagnostic adult and pediatric nuclear medicine examinations, as well as consultation for and supervision of therapeutic procedures.
Responsibilities
- Interpret diagnostic adult and pediatric nuclear medicine examinations
- Supervise therapeutic procedures
- Collaborate with basic science investigators on oncologic imaging, theranostics, and neuromolecular imaging in neurocognitive diseases
- Participate in interdisciplinary clinical research
- Teach medical students, residents, fellows, and staff
- Utilize state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging equipment, including PET/CT, SPECT/CT, and gamma cameras
- Offer therapeutic services such as Pluvicto™ and Lutathera™
- Provide diagnostic services like CerinaRNA™, Pylarify™, Locametz™, NetSpot, and DetectNet™
- Perform PET myocardial perfusion imaging and DaTscan™ for various neurological conditions
- Offer Y-90 selective internal radiation therapy for hepatic cancers and liver metastasis
- Conduct Tc-99m pyrophosphate imaging for the detection of transthyretin cardiac (ATTR) amyloidosis
Requirements
Special consideration will be given to candidates with an academic interest in oncologic imaging, theranostics, and neuromolecular imaging in neurocognitive diseases. Candidates must be subspecialty trained and have or be eligible for either a CAQ in nuclear medicine from the ABR or ABNM certification.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $200,000 - $250,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
