About the role
The Praise Street Team is responsible for being the "face" of PRAISE 106.5 at various concerts, community and client events in Northwest Washington and BC. They execute station events, engage with station audience and distribute promotional giveaways and marketing materials.
Responsibilities
- Represent station at various community events, concerts and public activities, both outdoors and indoors in Whatcom country and lower mainland BC area.
- Actively engage with station audience, greet listeners, facilitate enter-to-win contests, and distribute promotional giveaways and marketing materials.
- Execute station events including setup and teardown, loading and unloading, and driving station vehicle to/from event locations.
- Implement standards to maintain station image and cheerfully represent the station in a positive light to the public.
- Provide post-event feedback to supervisor.
- Work collaboratively with supervisors, coworkers and customers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Holds a valid Washington state driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Able to travel to/from Canada.
- Demonstrated excellent communication skills and follow-through.
- Detail oriented with problem solving skills.
- Friendly and outgoing.
- Able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
- Team player.
- Works well under pressure with little supervision.
- Self-motivated and enthusiastic, positive attitude with a strong work ethic.
- Able to work collaboratively with supervisors, coworkers, and customers.
- Available by phone, email and/or text message on a weekly basis for scheduling and work assignments.
Qualifications
- Christ-centered belief that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior.
- A committed Christian who is dedicated to continued spiritual growth and development as evidenced through a growing personal walk with God (e.g. daily spiritual rhythms of prayer, fellowship, Bible study, etc.).
- Prayfully seeks God's will in their own lives and in their ministry at CRISTA.
- Engages our ministry including staff and colleagues through prayer, participation in spiritual practices, leading devotionals and other spiritual practices.
- Affirms, aligns with and supports CRISTA's Statement of Faith and Christian Community Representative Statement (CCC).
- Conducts themselves in a manner which reflects well on CRISTA Ministries and aligns with its mission, vision, Statement of Faith and Christian Community Representative Commitment (CCC).
- Demonstrates the values of a CRISTA leader.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, Broadcast, Journalism, or related field, or currently studying for a degree from an accredited college or university recognized by the United States Department of Education or equivalent.
- Two plus years' of customer service, marketing, event planning, or event staff experience.
