Full-Time Radiation Therapist position at Christian Hospital North East (1255 Graham Rd. Florissant, Mo. 63031).

The Radiation Department is an outpatient department providing radiation therapy to both outpatients and hospitalized patients, primarily treating malignant tumors. The department performs simulation, 3D simulation, dosimetry, and radiation treatment procedures, including brachytherapy and teletherapy (such as Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy), adhering to standards set by the department Medical Director, state, and federal regulations. Patients range in age from 18 years and above.

Schedule

• Day Shift: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM (hours may vary)
• No call, weekends, or holidays

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient and chart prior to the start of procedure.
• Delivers accurate and consistent treatments to patients.
• Completes treatment process and coordinates patient scheduling.

Requirements

• Completed an accredited Certified Radiation Therapy program.
• Board Certified by the ARRT as RT(T).
• Ability to operate TrueBeam linac.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Radiation Therapy.

Role Purpose

Performs patient treatments utilizing ionizing radiation under the direction of the Radiation Oncologist.
