Radiation Therapist - PRN

About the Role

This position involves performing daily imaging and delivering prescribed therapeutic radiation doses to patients safely and accurately. The therapist utilizes technical knowledge of equipment, clinical treatment setup, anatomical landmarks, and treatment documentation.

Responsibilities

• Ensure precise delivery of radiation therapy while maintaining patient safety.
• Interact effectively with patients, families, physicians, and healthcare staff.
• Document patient care accurately in treatment records and charts.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA standards.
• Assess and report on patients' physical and emotional status.

Requirements

• Completion of a radiation therapy course from an accredited program.
• Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• For certain regions, licensure through relevant state boards is required.
