Radiation Therapist I

About the role

This position is eligible for a sign-on bonus of $8,000.

Journey to world-class healthcare at Cleveland Clinic Hillcrest Hospital, where you'll be part of a remarkable team of exceptional caregivers. As a Radiation Therapist, you'll play a crucial role in implementing treatment plans and administering radiation therapy to patients.

Responsibilities

• Determine and deliver appropriate patient treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and dosimetrists.
• Monitor and document patient's condition and report any adverse reactions.
• Assess and educate patients according to specific department protocols.
• Position patients and select anatomic/technical parameters accurately.
• Check and adjust necessary equipment, including linear accelerators.

Requirements

• Graduate of a CAHEA approved School of Radiation Therapy technology or registry eligible
• Registered Radiation Therapist through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), R.T.(R)(T)(ARRT) in good standing
• Current state licensure as a Radiation Therapist
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
• Experience with radiation oncology specific electronic medical records as well as record and verify
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrates problem-solving skills
• Can communicate and relate well with patients who are under physical and emotional stress
• Can utilize computer programs to input database and capture information

Qualifications

• Experience with external radiation therapy, IMRT, IGRT and CT simulation

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in computer software and medical record systems

Pay

Minimum hourly: $33.46

Maximum hourly: $51.03
