Radiation Therapist - Full Time, Day Shift

Role Overview: Provides radiation therapy treatments according to physician prescriptions, assisting with dosimetric calculations, treatment planning, quality assurance, and data entry. Acts as a technical expert, mentoring staff and supporting departmental operations. Responsibilities Delivers prescribed radiation safely, verifying patient identity and treatment details.Prepares treatment rooms and immobilization devices, ensuring patient comfort and safety.Monitors patients during treatment for reactions or complications, reporting any concerns.Maintains accurate records of treatments and patient charts.Supervises and evaluates students’ clinical performance.Assists in daily departmental tasks and provides technical guidance. Qualifications & Skills Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiation Therapy (AART-T) and certified in Therapeutic Radiology Technology (RTT). Preferred: Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in radiation oncology; three years of radiation therapy experience.Required licenses include ARRT-T and TRT certifications. BLS certification is also required.Strong knowledge of radiation safety, patient communication, and treatment procedures.
