Radiation Therapist - Full Time, Day Shift

Role Overview Administers ionizing radiation to patients following physician prescriptions, ensuring safety and accuracy during treatment. Responsible for preparing treatment rooms and equipment, explaining procedures to patients, and monitoring for reactions or complications. Maintains detailed treatment records and reviews patient charts to prevent errors. Provides clinical supervision and evaluates students' practical skills. Performs additional duties as assigned to support departmental operations. Qualifications & Skills Required certifications: ARRT-Radiation Therapy (ARRT-T) and Therapeutic Radiologic Technology (TRT).Preferred: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in radiological technology and experience in radiologic procedures.Licenses: State fluoroscopy permit and BLS certification required.Knowledge of radiation safety protocols, patient care, and record-keeping. Key Responsibilities Deliver prescribed radiation therapy accurately and safely.Prepare treatment areas, immobilization devices, and transfer patients with attention to individual needs.Observe patients for adverse reactions, report complications, and document treatments meticulously.Supervise and evaluate student practitioners.Uphold safety standards and comply with organizational policies.
