Radiation Oncology Physician (MD/DO) - MUSC Health - Florence Medical Center in Florence, SC

About the role

The Department of Radiation Oncology at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is seeking a skilled, BC/BE Radiation Oncologist to work full-time at their hospital in Florence, SC. This community-based practice uses a streamlined, multidisciplinary approach to provide high quality, compassionate care to patients in Florence and the surrounding communities.

Responsibilities

• Treat approximately 30-50 patients per day
• Participate in shared emergent call
• Work in an environment with on-site lab and pharmacy
• Collaborate with 2 radiation nurses, 4 radiation therapists, 1.5 physicists, and 1.5 dosimetrists
• Utilize equipment including Varian Trilogy™, Eclipse software, ARIA® oncology information system, and CT Simulator with 4DCT capability
• Provide care to a unique patient population in a community-based setting

Requirements

• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Radiation Oncology

Qualifications

• Experience in a community-based radiation oncology practice is preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment
