About the role

UNC Health is currently seeking a clinically oriented, board-certified or board-eligible Radiation Oncologist to join our cancer care team at UNC Health Appalachian.
Responsibilities
- Support radiation oncology services in Boone, NC.
- Work closely with medical and surgical oncology colleagues across our center.
- Join a collaborative team working on structured disease-site programs in thoracic, breast, GI, GYN, and GU oncology.
- Participate in weekly multidisciplinary tumor boards, robust patient navigation, and access to clinical trials through our partnership with the main UNC campus in Chapel Hill.
- Utilize advanced technology including SRS/SBRT.
Requirements
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Radiation Oncology.
- Experience in clinical practice preferred.
- Strong collegial partnerships across specialties.
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree.
- Current license to practice medicine in the state of North Carolina.
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency program in Radiation Oncology.
Skills
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of clinical trial protocols.
