Radiation Oncology Clinical Implementation Consultant (Remote/Travel)

Core Responsibility

Delivers consulting project activities as a subject matter expert in radiation therapy, ensuring maximum utilization of company products and training by customers to meet their business needs, traveling up to 75%. Assists in developing best practice clinical operations, focusing on patient outcomes, efficiencies, cost containment/reduction, and customer value propositions. Technical responsibilities include evaluating business processes, recommending changes, documenting processes, identifying problems, configuring databases and systems, specifying and designing hardware/software, managing changes, testing strategies, identifying training needs, and deploying solutions. Develops relevant metrics to demonstrate clinical, operational, and financial values. Supports product training and implementation through defined processes, eLearning, onsite, and remote training, and follows up to ensure adoption and optimal utilization. Owns workflow current state to future state mapping with associated gap analysis. Conducts detailed requirements gathering sessions through on-site and remote analysis and customer interviews. Translates workflow requirements into actionable technical configuration tasks. Drives customer-specific user adoption strategies and best practices. Provides onsite support during system Go-Live and immediate post-Go-Live periods.

• Full access to VMS client sites required for essential functions.
• Must meet all Vendor Credentialing requirements necessary to gain VMS client site access, unless prohibited by law.

• BS/BA in related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Ability to assess baseline workflows and develop future state workflows through the implementation of Varian solutions.
• Understanding of patient-to-care-team relationships.

Required Criteria

• BS/BA in related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Management and aptitude of standardized guidelines preferred.
• 8+ years combined experience with Oncology settings and Healthcare Technology vendors.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills with a proven track record of collaborative and consensus-building.
• Obtains and completes Varian training plan specific to assigned responsibility.
• Meets all Vendor Credentialing requirements necessary to gain VMS client site access, unless prohibited by law.

Base Pay Range

$89,220 - $122,672
