For our radiation services community of practice, that means using innovative approaches to provide economical client solutions for complex environmental solutions. We’re seeking a Junior Radiation Health Physicist to support projects for primarily our Navy and uranium mining restoration clients, though our portfolio is broad, and many other clients and projects are included.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluating soil, groundwater, surface water, or sediments in environmental projects.
  • Executing investigations, risk assessments, feasibility studies, engineering analysis, remedial actions, and closures under EPA, NRC, Agreement States, USACE, or Tribal Agency authority.
  • Performing surveys and assessments involving radiological materials in various matrices.
  • Implementing radiation safety practices and maintaining radiation protection programs during project activities.
  • Maintaining regulatory compliance during project activities.
  • Working with project teams to help deliver high quality data and deliverables to our clients.

Requirements

  • B.S. degree in Radiation Health Physics or Engineering.
  • Experience with environmental and remediation programs.
  • Experience with radiological investigations or BRAC closures (preferred).

Qualifications

A balance of remote and office work is expected, and preference will be given to candidates located in California. Time in the field may typically be approximately 50%, with the occasional span where travel may be more heavy than 50%.

Skills

Writing clearly, presenting technical approaches, and justifying decisions are essential, as we help clients obtain regulatory and community acceptance and close projects.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $74,700.00 to $112,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
