Racing Security Officer - Full Time

About the role

Turfway Park Racing & Gaming is a gaming facility located in Florence, Kentucky. It features 850 HRM games, a simulcast area with a VIP section, an event center, live horse racing, restaurants, and bars.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and security of team members and customers.
• Control access to restricted areas.
• React to patron and employee incidents and accidents.
• Maintain horsemen, patron, and employee access to the grounds.
• Check for and report safety hazards.
• Answer incoming calls to the facility and direct calls or answer patron questions.
• Patrol the barn and dorm areas.
• Obtain proper documents for horses to enter the grounds.
• Operate a company vehicle and/or equipment that requires a valid Driver's License.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Ability to obtain a valid racing license.
• Available to work when needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights.

Qualifications

• Maintain interpersonal working relationships among all personnel.
• Basic PC skills.
• Oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of Emergency Disaster Plan Manual.
